Chi Gong & Tai Chi

I periodically run courses in Chi Gong,

Tai Chi and Daoyin Bao Jian Gong.

Tai Chi, originally created as a martial art, is performed in a flowing sequence of separate moves. Chi Gong, in contrast, was devised thousands of years ago purely for health and repeats the same move a number of times. Tai Chi and Chi Gong both achieve the same health effects in that they open and close the meridians and stimulate the organs of the body.  Chi Gong has specific moves for the heart, kidneys, lungs, liver, and spleen as well as combination moves that affect a number of organs all at once.

Chi Gong is a remarkably powerful means to achieving  health and vitality with surprisingly little effort.

I also teach Daoyin Bao Jian Gong which is a type of Chi Gong consisting of eight exercises, each repeated with a controlled breathing pattern. They can be done separately or performed to make a flowing sequence of moves, taking approximately 10 minutes to perform.
